Lunch and Wine Tasting at Helen’s Hill Estate

The following stop on our tour takes place at Helen’s Hill Estate, a family-run boutique winery nestled atop a hill in the very centre of Yarra Valley. Not only do they produce world-class wines, but visiting Helen’s Hill Estate is a quintessential day out in the Yarra Valley.

Located on a hill with sweeping views over the Valley, their cellar door - where you will be dining - is located among the vines themselves. It’s a quaint spot to taste some of their award-winning, cool-climate wines.

Enjoy your wine tasting alongside your lunch so you can leisurely pair your food with the perfect wine. Tasted wines will include some of their award-winning bottles, and Yarra Valley staples - expect top-notch Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz.

You’ll be served a generous platter of entree sharing-style dishes. Also on the menu are some of the best pizzas in the Yarra Valley, made fresh on-site. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.

There are beautiful views over the rolling hills of vines and out into the Yarra Valley from the deck. It’s laid-back, relaxed, and just so inviting. We’ll give you the chance to kick back, relax, and soak up the wonderful company and delicious food. Taste wines at Yering Station

Your Yarra Valley adventure continues at Yering Station, Victoria's first established vineyard (Est. 1838). Enjoy wines with centuries of winemaking heritage, all refined to a flawless standard of modern-day luxury.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted at their century-old cellar door for a personalised tasting flight. Sample exquisite wines that often feature stellar cool-climate Shiraz, Viognier, bold Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.

Greenstone Vineyards: Tasting

Finish off at Greenstone Vineyards, one of our favourite boutique and unique wine producers. On top of a hill with some of the best panoramic views of the Yarra Valley, Greenstone is perfect for relaxing and tasting while taking in the picturesque views.

This is our favourite stop for two reasons; firstly, you won't regret chilling at Greenstone with panoramic views of the valley. Secondly, their whole winemaking philosophy is focused on expressing their wonderful regional terroir through minimal-intervention techniques, allowing the quality of the fruit and the individuality of each site to speak for itself.

Their wines have been awarded many accolades for their elegant, pure styles, which let the fruit do the talking. You will taste through their award-winning Chardonnay, which displays finesse and complexity, along with their show-stopping Pinot Noir, which screams Yarra Valley grown in every sip. This entire tasting takes place in a relaxed, intimate and classy environment.

Optional Dessert Stop at Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery

Finish off your day with a visit to this world-renowned chocolaterie. Sample handmade chocolates or indulge in one of over 40 flavours of artisan ice cream and sorbet made with local ingredients. Or perhaps just enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate at the café overlooking the valley. A leisurely sweet ending before we head home.

Back To Your Accommodation

We expect to return to your accommodation approximately 18:00 (6 pm), at the end of an incredible Yarra Valley day full of visiting wineries and gourmet delights.

Please note that the above return time is approximate and assumes you allow yourself enough time to relax and unwind after tasting the best wines and gourmet produce, and taking in the beautiful views of the Yarra Valley.

As this is a private tour, we aim to run things at a relaxed pace so you can take your time enjoying the vineyards and resorts we visit. Therefore, your actual return time may be earlier or later, depending on how the day unfolds naturally and at your group's preference. We don’t want you to feel rushed, so please note that we may take longer at a stop if enjoying the moment dictates.

Either way, we will make sure you arrive back at your doorstep in Melbourne or if your party isn't over yet, somewhere in the Melbourne CBD.
